I do have a couple questions regarding this feature request.

First, from a business perspective:

We need a better way to apply discounts to the “extra cost” items in our configurator.

Right now, we sell add-ons both individually and through the configurator. The problem is, if one of those add-ons goes on sale in our store, it doesn’t reflect in the configurator and we have to manually update the price. And even then, it doesn’t show as discounted. Reverting it later is also a hassle, since we have to track down the original price ourselves.

It would be a huge improvement if we could simply link an add-on’s price in the configurator to its Shopify product price. That way, if the Shopify price is greater than $0, it adds to the configured total; if it’s $0, it’s treated as included.

That would then create another option for people: make the base configurator product $0, and pull all pricing directly from the linked Shopify variants. The total would then build up dynamically as users add parts; charging more only for items that cost more than the base configuration.

I want it to be possible to display discounts on the shopify product page and in the customizer with the crossed normal price and the discounted price. Now we work with a code that automatically does the discount when added to the cart. Mentally it's important that the client sees the discount before adding it to the cart to push the sale.

I want to have a button so when you are on the designer, and design you can put our logo on the shirt and then get 40% discount example, so it is shown in the customizer.
