Increase loading speed

Opening the Kickflip configurator for the first time (no cached data) on a Shopify store takes sometimes multiple seconds within Germany. Since speed really matters for conversion, I would like to suggest that the configuration data is stored within one or more JSON files within the Shopify Liquid theme of the store.
Maybe the not so fast loading speed has something to do with the service being located in the US.

We’re constantly striving to improve loading time, and today we’re excited to share some significant progress! Learn more here: https://gokickflip.com/blog/fast-loading-time

Renaud Teasdale I do not see any improvement in speed.
The time taken to load anything at all on the page to do with the customiser takes too long.
There should be a "Loading" message load immediately. From there the final load time doesn't matter too much. The main issue is customer thinking they have reached a blank page then leaving.

Ben Craig Thank you for sharing your feedback. The issue you’re describing is specific to certain setups, particularly with the “customizer-only” integration.
While switching to the customize button integration (https://help.gokickflip.com/en/articles/6289000-integrating-your-customizer-in-shopify#h_11c0838e08) would help address this, that feature request has been created specifically for this case: https://kickflip.canny.io/feature-requests/p/app-loading-optimisation
In addition, I recommend contacting our support team to transition to our new Shopify integration. It could help with overall performance.
Lastly, since you’re located in New Zealand, our latest updates should already be providing noticeable speed enhancements in your region — with up to 47% faster performance based on our measurements.
Thanks again for your feedback and feel free to reach out if you’d like assistance with the integration switch or anything else.

Also it would be great if the visualisation only refreshes when all logic has completed and all components are fully loaded. Currently, if you click relatively quickly between answers (whose visualisation is dependent on logic), the visualisation often changes some components before the logic has finished executing, leaving the visualisation in a state of flux where pieces of different designs are shown at the same time. Note this seems to have nothing to do with the size of the PNGs (some of my PNGs are only a few KB). Instead, it seems to be an issue with the parsing of logic and its order relative to the visualisation refresh.

Or even some indication that the customizer is loading. People don't srem to think anything is happening and will leave the page.
