Many of us sell products that require CNC cutting, laser engraving, vinyl plotting, or other vector-based production methods. Kickflip's Print-Ready Files feature is a great start, but the generated PDFs contain rasterized text, not vector outlines. This means we can't send the files directly to production. Instead, our production teams have to manually recreate every customer design in tools like CorelDRAW, Illustrator, or Inkscape before cutting/engraving.
For shops with growing order volume, this manual step is a major bottleneck, it's slow, error-prone, and doesn't scale.
## What would help:
Add an option to export Print-Ready Files as PDF or EPS with all text converted to outlines/paths. This would allow merchants in engraving, cutting, and CNC-based production to send files directly from Kickflip to their machines.
## Ideally this would include:
  • Text rendered as vector paths (not rasterized)
  • Export format options: SVG, EPS, or vector-based PDF
  • Available via dashboard download AND via API endpoint (so we can automate production workflows)
  • Automatic generation on order creation (no manual "Download assets" click required)
## Who benefits:
Anyone selling custom products that go through vector-based production: engraved items (stones, metal, wood, glass), laser-cut products, vinyl/plotter-cut decals, CNC-routed signs, and more. This is a huge segment of Kickflip's merchant base.
## Current workaround:
Manual recreation of every design in vector software. Time per order: 10-20 minutes. Not sustainable at scale.
A vector export option would make Kickflip a true end-to-end solution from customer design to production, no manual steps in between.
